Das Dicke Ende Kommt Noch (Tools Old and New - Part 4)

... received a pretty nice gift recently from a guy (code name "Mr. Rumsfeld") we occasionally do some "spec-ops" imaging for...

... a pretty nice reproduction of a WWII era 'V-42 Devils Brigade Fighting Knife'...

... based on the original 'Fairbairn-Sykes' stiletto, this thing was developed for use by the 'First Special Service Force (FSSF)' - a total badass mountain warfare unit - for one thing and one thing only: killing German soldiers... The FSSF was "a combined American-Canadian special task force for battle behind enemy lines... the numerous nocturnal operations undertaken by this force and the camouflage they used caused this unit to be nicknamed the 'Black Devils' by the German Wehrmacht"...

... needle sharp tip... double-edged seven inch (sharp) black coated SK-5 carbon steel blade...

... corrugated thumb rest...

... leather washer grip...

... "skull cracker" pommel...

... pretty lethal - the package included a few extras as well...

... an authentic reproduction of the original leather sheath - designed to be low hanging for quick access when wearing rain ponchos and other cold weather gear - these guys didn't have modern "designer mountain wear" - weren't able to go running home when their fingers and toes got too cold, either...

... a cloth reproduction of the units arrowhead insignia...

... and the best - an authentic reproduction of the units "death sticker"...
